For top service and fantastic food Gallini's in Koutouloufari near Hersonissos…

Restaurant: Gallini's

Location: In Koutouloufari, a small village about 15 minutes walk from the coastal resort of Hersonissos, about 40 mins east of Heraklion.

Comments: Gallinis is a real find for a special night out. The staff are so friendly and helpful. While Gallini's is a little more expensive than the rest of the restaurants in the area you certainly get what you pay for. Hot towels to wash before each meal. Tables scraped of crumbs between each course. A very extensive menu and wine list and a very attentive staff. We go back there at least twice on our 2 week stay in Crete. Leave a few hours to enjoy because they really don't believe in rushing you -A real treat – excellent.

"Like Disneyland, Las Vegas, and an ancient Greek brothel all rolled in one. But you get better food and service in all 3. Totally unecessary presentation, obviously trying to cover up for the bad expensive food. Apart from that we had a very nice holiday."
