Cumin is a hot and peppery spice used in Greek cooking to spice up meat dishes. It is often used to marinade lamb along with other herbs and spices and as an ingredient in Bekri Meze and spiced meat balls. It is often found in traditional tomato based red sauces too.
Medicinally Cumin has been used in traditional folklore medicine to cleanse and strengthen the blood and promote a healthy digestive system.
