Flights to Crete, Greece are frequent in the summer months. So getting to Crete is easy. Unlike many of the small Greek Islands there are three Crete airports on the island.

Flying to Crete from the UK is very easy and often you can pick up cheap flights too. Getting to Crete from other European countries via direct flights is easy too.

There are many direct flights flying to Crete airports from European cities including Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Holland, Poland and Russia.

In the winter months there are currently no direct flights to Crete from the UK or any other European airports so travellers need a connecting flight from Athens Airport or Thessaloniki Airport. The only exception to this is the direct flights to Crete from Cyprus which continue their direct flights all year long.

The three Crete airports of Heraklion, Chania and Sitia are easily accessed via Athens Airport or Thessaloniki Airport on mainland Greece from Australia, USA, Canada, Israel, Russia, Cyprus, Japan and China throughout the year. Olympic Airlines and Aegean Airlines have frequent flights to both Heraklion airport and Chania airport from Athens.

Athens to Crete flights normally take around one hour and the Thessaloniki to Crete flights usually take about one and a half hours.
